What if there are financial disputes regarding payments?Arcane Athletics is not responsible for financial disputes between separated families or individuals regarding payment responsibilities. -
Why is a credit card required to be on file for my athlete’s participation? We require a credit card on file to ensure smooth processing of payments, especially in cases of missed or late payments. We understand that drop-offs and carpools are a part of our community, and having a card on file helps our office staff process any charges efficiently. If an athlete is dropped off or sent to class via carpool, it indicates intentional participation, and the card on file will be charged for that day or month if necessary. This policy ensures that all accounts are current and helps us maintain a streamlined and organized process for everyone involved.
-
What payment methods do you accept? We prefer to accept payments through our parent portal and can pay with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash and checks. Please note that if a check is returned due to insufficient funds, there will be a $50 fee to cover the bounced check charge.
-
What happens if payments aren't made on time?If payments are not collected or an account is not up to date, the athlete may not be able to participate in class until the account is rectified. We ask that carpooling families ensure athletes are sent with the appropriate payment, either from the athlete themselves or the carpool guardian. Alternatively, payments can be made online through the Parent Portal for convenience. This policy helps ensure that all accounts are properly managed and that athletes can continue enjoying their classes without disruption.

-
What’s the difference between Prep and Elite teams?Prep and Elite teams differ in time commitment, cost, and competitive intensity. Prep teams practice fewer hours per week, compete locally, and offer a more budget-friendly and flexible option—ideal for beginners or multi-sport athletes. Elite teams train more frequently, and travel to larger competitions. Both provide a rewarding cheer experience, but Elite is designed for athletes seeking a more advanced and competitive environment.
-
What is Half Year Elite?Half-Year Elite is a high-level competitive All-Star program that offers the same caliber of training and competition as Full-Year Elite, but with a later season start (January). These teams follow a stricter evaluation process and typically require a higher travel commitment during a shorter time frame. This option is perfect for athletes who are committed to other activities or sports during the fall and winter, or for families looking to enjoy the Elite experience without the full-season commitment.
-
What age groups do you offer? We offer Expo teams starting at age 3, which are non-competitive and focused on building foundational cheer skills in a fun and supportive environment. Competitive All-Star teams begin at age 5 and go up to 18 years old. Age eligibility for competitive teams is determined by birth year, following the official guidelines set by USASF (U.S. All Star Federation).
-
Can beginners join the cheerleading teams, or is it only for experienced athletes? We welcome both beginners and experienced athletes. Our placement process evaluates current skills and growth potential. Beginners can start in Elite or Prep but most find Prep a more beginner friendly program. During evaluations, we may suggest switching programs to ensure the best fit. Whether new or experienced, there's a place for you at Arcane Athletics!
-
How do tryouts work?We host evaluations over a period of time, allowing athletes to showcase their current tumbling, stunting, and dance skills while giving our coaches a chance to get to know them better. Every athlete makes a team! Placements are intentionally conservative to ensure athletes can grow, build confidence, and safely progress toward higher levels. The evaluation process helps us place each athlete where they’ll thrive and contribute best to their team.
-
Can athletes participate in school cheer and All-Star?Yes, many athletes successfully participate in both school cheer and All-Star! While it does require good time management and communication, we support athletes who want to be involved in both programs. We understand that school cheer offers unique experiences like game day performances and school spirit, while All-Star provides a more competitive, skill-focused environment. If your athlete is involved in school cheer, we encourage open communication with our coaching staff so we can help manage scheduling conflicts and ensure your athlete stays safe, balanced, and successful in both settings.
